Expressing the sense of Congress that the United States should resume normal diplomatic relations with Taiwan, negotiate a bilateral free trade agreement with Taiwan, and support Taiwans membership in international organizations.

This resolution asks the President to stop following the One China policy and instead recognize Taiwan as an independent country that is separate from China. It also encourages the President to strengthen diplomatic and economic relationships between the United States and Taiwan.
