Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States limiting the pardon power of the President.

This joint resolution would change the Constitution to limit when the President can pardon people. Under this amendment, the President could not pardon themselves, their relatives, people in their administration, or paid campaign workers. The President also could not pardon someone for crimes that benefited any of those people or for crimes the President directed or coordinated. Any pardons given for corrupt reasons would not be valid.
