Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Land Management relating to Coastal Plain Oil and Gas Leasing Program Record of Decision.

This joint resolution cancels a decision made by the Bureau of Land Management in December 2024 that had blocked about 1.2 million acres in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge from being used for oil and gas drilling, keeping only 400,000 acres open for leasing. By canceling that 2024 decision, the resolution brings back an earlier 2020 decision that made all roughly 1.6 million acres in the area available for oil and gas leasing. Under current law, at least 400,000 of those acres must be located in the areas most likely to contain oil and gas.
