Disapproving of the rule submitted by the Department of Homeland Security relating to "Increase of the Automatic Extension Period of Employment Authorization and Documentation for Certain Employment Authorization Document Renewal Applicants".

This joint resolution would cancel a rule made by the Department of Homeland Security on December 13, 2024. The rule permanently extended how long certain work permits stay valid while people wait for renewals. Instead of staying good for 180 days, the permits would stay good for 540 days if people applied to renew them on time.
