Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Federal Communications Commission relating to "Addressing the Homework Gap Through the E-Rate Program".

This joint resolution would cancel a rule made by the Federal Communications Commission on August 20, 2024. The rule allows schools and libraries in the E-Rate program to buy discounted Wi-Fi hotspots and mobile internet service that students, school staff, and library users can take home. Under the canceled rule, schools and libraries would have to create policies requiring the hotspots to be used mainly for educational purposes.
