Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of Defense relating to "Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Program".

This joint resolution would cancel a Department of Defense rule from October 2024 that created the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Program. The program sets up policies for protecting federal contract information and controlled unclassified information when defense contractors and subcontractors handle this information on their computer systems during defense contract work. The rule also explains which companies must follow these requirements and how the Department of Defense will run the program.
