Protect the Gig Economy Act of 2025

This bill adds a new rule that federal courts must follow before allowing class action lawsuits to move forward. Under the new rule, courts must first check that the lawsuit is not about workers being wrongly classified as independent contractors instead of employees. If the lawsuit is about worker classification, it cannot proceed as a class action in federal court.
