QUIET Act

This bill requires robocalls that use artificial intelligence to sound like a real person to tell you at the start of the call that they are using AI. It also doubles the fines for companies that break current robocall laws when they use AI to pretend to be someone else in order to trick people or steal from them. The bill defines robocalls as calls or texts made using automatic dialing technology or artificial voices, but not calls that require a lot of human involvement to make.
