La Paz County Solar Energy and Job Creation Act

This bill requires the Department of the Interior to transfer about 3,400 acres of federal land in La Paz County, Arizona, to the county if the county asks for it and pays fair market value. Any land with important cultural, environmental, wildlife, or recreational resources must be left out of the transfer. Whoever owns the land must work to protect tribal artifacts, coordinate with the Colorado River Indian Tribes to identify culturally important items, and allow tribal representatives to rebury any artifacts that are dug up. The land is also off-limits to mining and mineral leasing.
