Criminal Alien Gang Member Removal Act

This bill would make non-U.S. citizens who are associated with criminal gangs unable to enter the United States and subject to deportation. It defines a criminal gang as a group of five or more people whose main purpose is committing crimes, or a group that the Department of Homeland Security officially designates as a criminal gang. People who are or were gang members, or who helped gangs with illegal activities, would be banned from entering the country and could be deported if already here. These individuals would also be held in mandatory detention and would not be eligible for asylum, temporary protected status, special immigrant juvenile visas, or parole, unless they are helping the government with law enforcement.
