LIST Act of 2025

This bill changes how species are removed from the endangered and threatened species lists. If government agencies find solid scientific or commercial evidence that a species has recovered or met its recovery goals, they must remove it from the lists. The bill also creates a way to remove species that were mistakenly put on the lists in the first place. People who knowingly submit petitions with false, fraudulent, or misleading information about a species cannot submit another petition for 10 years.
