Modern Authentication of Pharmaceuticals Act of 2025

This bill would require pill-form controlled substances to include special physical or chemical markers that can identify and verify the drug. These markers could be things like special inks, pigments, flavors, or molecular tags that have unique properties. The markers must be part of the pill and must be readable by machines. This requirement would start for drugs made five years after the bill becomes law.
