Amateur Radio Emergency Preparedness Act

This bill limits rules that homeowners' associations and similar groups can make about amateur radio antennas. Under the bill, these private groups cannot have rules that unreasonably make it harder, more expensive, or impossible to put up, maintain, or use amateur radio antennas on property owned by amateur radio operators. However, the groups can still require that antennas be kept structurally safe and installed according to manufacturer instructions and local building codes. The bill also limits when amateur radio operators need to get approval before installing antennas and allows people to sue if these rules are violated.
