Wildfire Victim Tax Relief and Recovery Act

This bill changes tax rules to help farmers and people affected by specific Texas wildfires. It lets farmers delay paying taxes on money they make from selling livestock because of fires, similar to existing rules for drought and floods. The bill also lets people exclude certain disaster relief payments from their taxable income if they received the payments because of five specific wildfires that happened in Texas counties in February and March 2024.
