Ensuring Distance Education Act

This bill changes how money from online classes is counted under a federal rule called the 90/10 rule. Currently, for-profit colleges must get at least 10% of their money from sources other than federal financial aid, but they cannot count revenue from online education programs toward meeting this requirement. The bill would allow for-profit colleges to count money from their online education programs as non-federal revenue when calculating whether they meet the 10% requirement.
