Blind Americans Return to Work Act of 2025

This bill creates a 20-year test program that changes how blind people who receive Social Security Disability Insurance can work and keep some benefits. Currently, blind workers can earn up to $2,700 per month and still get full disability benefits, but if they earn more, they lose all benefits after a trial period. Under this new program, blind workers who earn above $2,700 per month would have their disability benefits gradually reduced instead of losing them completely - they would lose $1 in benefits for every $2 they earn above the limit plus their work expenses. After 10 years in the program, workers can choose to leave this new system.
