Operation Lone Star Reimbursement Act

This bill would let Texas get money back from the federal government for costs it spent securing the southern U.S. border from 2021 through 2025. Texas would need to send its expenses to the Department of Homeland Security and Treasury Department. The Department of Homeland Security would have 120 days to decide which expenses qualify for repayment, and Treasury would have 60 days to pay Texas back for those approved costs.
