Alternatives to PAIN Act

This bill changes how Medicare covers certain non-opioid pain medicines. Under the bill, people with Medicare prescription drug coverage would not have to pay a deductible for these medicines and would pay the lowest possible amount when they buy them. The bill also stops insurance plans from requiring people to get approval first or try other medicines before they can get these non-opioid pain drugs.
