To prohibit the obligation or expenditure of Federal funds for disinformation research grants, and for other purposes.

This bill would stop federal funding for three types of research programs. It would end funding for disinformation research grants, the National Science Foundation's Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace grant program that supports cybersecurity and privacy research, and a specific part of the NSF Convergence Accelerator program that focuses on preventing problems with communication systems like misinformation. These programs currently provide grants for research on topics like online security, protecting information, and developing tools to address issues in digital communications.
