National Statistics on Deadly Force Transparency Act of 2025

This bill would require law enforcement agencies at the federal, state, and local levels to gather and report information about when law enforcement officers use deadly force. That data would need to be sent to the Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Statistics. If a state or local government does not follow these requirements, the Department of Justice would cut their funding from a specific grant program by 10%.
