Hire Veterans Act

This bill creates a five-year test program run by the Office of Personnel Management to help veterans get jobs with federal agencies that manage public lands, like the National Park Service. Veterans in the program take tests to show their skills and abilities. If they pass the tests, these land management agencies can hire them directly without the usual competitive hiring process. Veterans who don't pass the first time can get training and retake the tests until they qualify for these federal jobs.
