Protection from Obamacare Mandates and Congressional Equity Act

This bill makes changes to health insurance requirements. It says people don't have to buy health insurance if they live in a county where fewer than two insurance companies sell plans on the health insurance exchange. The bill also requires all congressional staff, the President, Vice President, and certain government appointees to get their health insurance through the exchanges instead of the regular government employee health plan. Under this bill, the government would not be allowed to help pay for health insurance for these officials and employees.
