Secure Storage Information Act of 2025

This bill would require licensed gun dealers to give buyers information about how to safely store firearms, including tips like keeping guns unloaded, away from children, and locked up separately from ammunition. Dealers would also have to offer a variety of secure storage products for sale, such as gun safes, lock boxes, gun cases, and trigger locks. Additionally, the bill creates a tax credit that would let individuals get up to $500 off their taxes over their lifetime to help cover the cost of buying a new gun safe or other secure storage device.
