PROTECT Our Children Reauthorization Act of 2025

This bill extends funding through 2028 for two programs that help fight crimes against children online. It changes how often the Department of Justice must update its national plan for preventing child exploitation from every two years to every four years, and reduces the required parts of that plan from 19 elements to 9 elements. The bill also requires task forces that investigate online crimes against children to work harder to identify child victims and include the number of victims they find in their yearly reports. Additionally, it gives these task forces some protection from lawsuits related to their work and requires the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to give more information to police when reporting cases of online child exploitation.
