To amend title XIX of the Social Security Act to establish a community engagement requirement for certain individuals under the Medicaid program.

This bill would require most adults ages 18 to 65 on Medicaid to work, do community service, or participate in work programs for at least 80 hours each month. People who don't meet these requirements for three or more months in a year could lose their Medicaid coverage, and the federal government would stop sending money to states for those individuals. The requirements don't apply to people who can't work due to physical or mental reasons, pregnant women, parents or caregivers, people already meeting work requirements for other federal programs, those in drug or alcohol treatment, or students enrolled at least half-time in school.
