Navajo Nation Rio San José Stream System Water Rights Settlement Act of 2025

This bill settles water rights disputes between the Navajo Nation and New Mexico over the Rio San José Stream System. It officially recognizes a water rights agreement that was already made between the Navajo Nation, New Mexico, and other parties. The bill creates a trust fund to pay for carrying out this settlement and specifies what water rights the Navajo Nation will have. It also allows the Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project to serve additional areas.
