Protecting American Energy Production Act

This bill would stop the President from banning hydraulic fracturing (also called fracking) unless Congress agrees to the ban first. Fracking is a process that uses high-pressure water, sand, and chemicals to break underground rock and extract oil or gas. The bill also says Congress believes states should keep their authority to regulate fracking on state and private lands.
