Collision Avoidance Systems Act of 2025

This bill would allow cars, trucks, buses, and motorcycles to use flashing brake lights. When someone hits the brakes, the brake light could flash quickly up to four times for about one second, then stay on solid like normal brake lights do now. The Department of Transportation would need to create new rules to allow these flashing brake light systems and set standards for how they work.
