Zuni Indian Tribe Water Rights Settlement Act of 2025

This bill settles water rights disputes involving the Zuni Tribe in New Mexico by officially recognizing a water rights agreement between the Zuni, New Mexico, and other parties. The bill creates a trust fund to help carry out the settlement and specifies what water rights the Zuni pueblo will have. It also protects federal land around the Zuni Salt Lake by withdrawing it from mineral development and requiring the Bureau of Land Management to manage it, while the Department of the Interior must take some surrounding land into trust for the Zuni Tribe.
