VETS Opportunity Act of 2025

This bill changes several rules for veterans' education benefits and programs. It requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to pay back veterans within 60 days when they finish using Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits, if they previously paid to keep their Montgomery GI Bill benefits. The bill also changes rules for independent study programs that veterans can use their benefits for, requiring these programs to have regular interaction between students and teachers and allowing for-profit schools to offer them. It lets active service members and reservists make agreements with their schools to finish courses if they complete at least half before being called to duty, and it extends a pension limit for veterans in VA care facilities until March 2033.
