To prohibit the use of Federal funds to implement, administer, or enforce a final rule of the Food and Drug Administration relating to "Medical Devices; Laboratory Developed Tests", and for other purposes.

This bill stops the government from spending federal money to carry out a rule that the Food and Drug Administration made in May 2024. The rule says that laboratory developed tests, which are medical screening tests made by laboratories instead of medical device companies, must follow FDA regulations like other medical devices. Before this rule, the FDA could choose whether or not to regulate these laboratory tests.
