Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project Amendments Act of 2025

This bill makes changes to the Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project, which was created to settle water rights for the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. The bill extends the deadline for building project facilities until December 31, 2029. It allows the project to serve additional areas, including letting the Navajo Nation expand the service area to deliver water to Lupton, Arizona, and sets up rules for delivering water to Navajo communities in Utah. The bill also requires the Department of the Interior to put certain land into trust for the Navajo Nation and creates two trust funds for operations and maintenance costs for the Navajo Nation and Jicarilla Apache Nation.
