Federal Disaster Assistance Coordination Act

This bill requires FEMA to make it easier for people applying for disaster help by reducing paperwork and duplicate information requests. FEMA must create a plan to collect information from disaster assistance applicants in a way that is less burdensome and time-consuming. The agency must also form a working group to look at how damage is assessed after disasters and find ways to avoid duplication between different federal agencies. The working group will explore using new technologies like drones to speed up damage assessments. FEMA must report its plans and findings to Congress and make the report available to the public on its website.
