DOC Access Act of 2025

This bill changes rules for private health insurance plans that cover eye doctors and dentists. It stops insurance plans from setting payment rates for most services provided by these doctors when the insurance doesn't pay much for those services anyway. The bill also says that agreements between insurance plans and these doctors for dental or vision benefits can only last longer than two years if the doctor agrees to extend them. Insurance plans also cannot tell these doctors which labs or suppliers they must use, and doctors can choose not to follow some of these new rules if they want to.
