PREVENT DIABETES Act

This bill extends permission for healthcare providers to offer virtual services through the Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program for three more years, until December 31, 2030. The Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program gives Medicare patients who might develop Type 2 diabetes training and education about diet, exercise, and behavioral changes. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services had already allowed virtual services until December 2027, and this bill pushes that deadline to December 2030.
