Protecting American Agriculture from Foreign Adversaries Act of 2025

This bill changes how the government reviews foreign purchases of American farmland for national security risks. It requires a government committee called CFIUS to review agricultural land purchases by people from China, North Korea, Russia, or Iran that the Department of Agriculture refers to them. The bill also adds the Secretary of Agriculture to this committee when they are reviewing deals involving farmland, farm technology, or agriculture businesses.
