CROWN Act of 2025

The CROWN Act of 2025 makes it illegal to discriminate against people because of their hair texture or hairstyle when those styles are commonly linked to a particular race or national origin. This law would apply to federally funded programs, housing, public places, and jobs. People cannot be treated unfairly or denied equal rights based on how they wear their hair, and the bill uses existing civil rights laws to enforce these protections.
