Wildfire Communications Resiliency Act

This bill makes it easier to rebuild or improve communication towers and facilities after wildfires by removing certain federal review requirements. If a wildfire causes major damage and the President, a state governor, or tribal leader declares it a disaster or emergency, communication projects to replace damaged facilities or make improvements can skip environmental and historic preservation reviews. These projects must be completed within five years of the disaster declaration and stay within the affected area to qualify for the exemption.
