Maintaining Investments in New Innovation Act

This bill changes the rules for which drugs can have their prices negotiated by Medicare. Currently, regular drugs must be on the market for at least 7 years before Medicare can negotiate their prices, while biologics must be on the market for at least 11 years. This bill would require drugs that use genetically targeted technology to wait 11 years on the market before their prices can be negotiated, instead of the current 7 years.
