Keep Americans Safe Act

This bill makes it a crime to import, sell, make, transfer, or possess large capacity ammunition feeding devices. The bill includes exceptions for law enforcement activities, certain tests and experiments, securing nuclear materials, and retired law enforcement officers. People who already own these devices can keep them but cannot sell or transfer them to others. New devices must have serial numbers and manufacturing dates. The bill also lets state and local governments use certain federal grant money to pay people who turn in these devices through buy-back programs.
