AI Accountability Act

The Artificial Intelligence Accountability Act requires a government agency called the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to study how to make AI systems more trustworthy. The agency must look at ways to check and certify AI systems used in communications like phone networks and social media platforms, and study how these checks can reduce risks from AI systems. The agency also must study what information should be shared with people and businesses that use or are affected by AI systems, and report their findings to Congress.
