Choices for Increased Mobility Act of 2025

This bill requires Medicare to create new billing codes for certain lightweight manual wheelchairs. Medicare must make at least two codes for the wheelchair base - one for bases made with titanium or carbon fiber materials and one for bases made with other materials. Suppliers get the same Medicare payment as before, but they can charge patients extra to cover any difference between what Medicare pays and what the wheelchair actually costs. Medicare can require suppliers to tell patients about these potential extra costs.
