Agricultural Risk Review Act of 2025

This bill changes how the government reviews foreign purchases of U.S. farmland for national security risks. It requires a committee called CFIUS to review certain agricultural land sales when the Department of Agriculture refers them, especially purchases by people from China, North Korea, Russia, or Iran. The bill also adds the Secretary of Agriculture to CFIUS when reviewing transactions involving farmland, agricultural technology, or agriculture-related businesses like transportation and storage facilities.
