Hospice Recertification Flexibility Act

This bill allows doctors and nurse practitioners to use telehealth video calls instead of in-person visits when they need to check on hospice patients for Medicare purposes. This flexibility, which was previously allowed, is extended until December 31, 2027. The bill includes some restrictions, such as not applying in areas where new hospice programs have been blocked due to fraud problems or to certain providers under extra oversight.
