Generative AI Terrorism Risk Assessment Act

This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security to regularly report to Congress about how terrorists might use generative artificial intelligence to threaten the United States. Generative AI refers to computer programs that can create fake images, videos, audio, text, and other digital content by copying patterns from existing data. The bill also requires DHS to collect and share information about these threats from fusion centers, which are groups where different government agencies work together to detect and prevent criminal and terrorist activities. Other federal agencies must share related information with DHS.
