UNITED Act

This bill gives the President authority to negotiate and make a comprehensive trade agreement with the United Kingdom. The President can discuss reducing tariffs and other trade barriers that affect different industries, products, or services between the US and UK. The President would have this authority until March 1, 2029, and can change existing duties or taxes to put the agreement into effect. The President must keep Congress informed about any plans to make such an agreement.
