Designation of English as the Official Language of the United States Act of 2025

This bill would make English the official language of the United States. It requires all government business at the federal, state, and local levels to be done in English. There are some exceptions, such as when needed to protect public health and safety, protect crime victims and defendants' rights, or meet requirements for students with disabilities. The bill also sets up rules for how this would work, including testing English skills as part of becoming a U.S. citizen.
