Federal Firearms Licensee Protection Act of 2025

This bill changes the penalties for stealing firearms from licensed gun dealers, importers, or manufacturers. Currently, the maximum prison sentence is 10 years, but this bill would increase it to 20 years. The bill also creates new mandatory minimum prison sentences of 3 to 5 years when the theft happens during a burglary or robbery. People who try to commit these crimes would face the same penalties as those who actually complete them.
