HELD Act

This bill would stop federal money from going to state or local governments that have rules preventing them from working with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Specifically, it targets places that refuse to share information about immigrants in their jails or refuse to hold immigrants for up to 48 extra hours when ICE asks them to, so that ICE can come pick them up.
