CHIPP Act

This bill makes the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) permanent instead of temporary. CHIP provides health insurance for children in families that earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid but cannot afford private insurance. The bill also makes permanent some related programs that help measure the quality of children's health care and help families sign up for coverage. It allows states to use information from other government programs like food stamps to make it easier for children to get health insurance, and lets states cover children from families with higher incomes than currently allowed.
